A group of Europeans discovers the fabled white man raised by apes in the African jungle. Tarzan takes an immediate liking to the blond Mary Brooks and rescues her during a nasty storm. Not everyone in the party sees Tarzan as a friend. Mary's father disappears, however, taken prisoner by those who guard the treasure of Zar. It's left to Tarzan to rescue him and the others who have also been kidnapped.

Jane nurses the British troops and needs medicinal plants, for which she writes to Tarzan. Tarzan and Boy head to the desert to find the plants, but they must fight prehistoric monsters and the Nazis.
