Kurt "Dirt" Merchant loses his low-level position at a record label, and he goes on to secure a job delivering summonses to individuals at their homes. One day, his job finds him bringing papers to a rock star named Johnny Decay. Dirt arrives to find Decay dead, and, as luck would have it, the cops turn up at the same time. Finding himself a murder suspect, Dirt becomes an amateur detective and sets out to clear his name.
